Adults are on wing in June.The larvae mainly feed on Molinia caerulea, but have also been recorded on Arrhenatherum, Brachypodium pinnatum, Brachypodium sylvaticum, Calamagrostis arundinacea, Carex, Melica and Poa. They create a long narrow mine in the blade.
